Bhangra is a folk dance conducted by Punjabis in the central northern areas of the region to celebrate the harvest. It is the representative of the state of India called "PUNJAB". The folkloric bhangra has now been exported to many other countries by Punjabi immigrants. Modern bhangra is characterized by a fusion with Western dance styles and the use of pre-recorded audio mixes.
